DynaVap

DynaVap builds battery-free dry herb vaporizers out of stainless steel and titanium in Wisconsin. Every model uses the same core system: load the tip, heat the cap with a torch or induction heater, wait for the click, and inhale. No chargers, apps, or firmware. The lineup spans the all-glass G3 at one end to the HyperDyn with its oversized titanium tip and 0.25g bowl at the other. Pipe Puffin is an authorized DynaVap retailer and ships to North America, Europe, and the UK.

How to Choose Your DynaVap

DynaVap’s lineup is large and the model names don’t tell you much on their own. Here’s how the devices actually break down by what they’re built from, who they’re built for, and what trade-offs each one makes.

Entry-Level: G3 and B Series

The G3 and B are the cheapest way into the DynaVap system. The G3 is all glass, with a built-in screen and a fixed bowl size of roughly 0.05g. It produces the cleanest flavor in the lineup because the vapor path is entirely glass, but the trade-off is fragility. Drop it on tile and you’re buying a new one. It ships with a single-flame torch and a storage tin, so you don’t need anything else to start.

The B uses a food-grade silicone stem with a stainless steel tip. It won’t break if you drop it, and the anti-roll design keeps it from sliding off surfaces during heating. Bowl capacity is slightly larger at 0.075g. Flavor is a step behind the G3 because vapor passes through silicone and metal instead of glass, but durability is significantly better.

The B2 is the B with a refined tip and improved airflow. If you want a durable starter that you can also run through a 10mm water piece, the B2 is the better pick over the original B.

Mid-Range: M7 Series

The M 7 and M 7 XL are the stainless steel core of the lineup. Both use machined stainless steel stems and tips with the Adjust-a-Bowl system, which lets you toggle between a full-size and half-size chamber by repositioning the CCD screen. The standard M 7 is roughly 3.5 inches; the XL adds about an inch of stem length for a cooler draw.

Both fit 10mm water pieces natively and work with induction heaters. The choice between standard and XL comes down to pocketability versus cooler vapor. For most people stepping up after a G3 or B, the M 7 is where the DynaVap system starts to click.

Wood and Glass Stems: VonG and WoodWynd

The VonG X and VonG(i) pair titanium tips with wooden stems. The VonG X has a 10mm male joint mouthpiece, making it a natural fit for water pieces. The VonG(i) adds a titanium condenser with adjustable airflow and a slightly longer body. Both use the Adjust-a-Bowl system.

The WoodWynd takes a similar approach with a wooden stem and stainless steel condenser assembly. Performance across the three wood-stemmed models is similar; the differences come down to airflow control options and water piece compatibility.

High-Output: HyperDyn

The HyperDyn is the largest DynaVap in the lineup. Its titanium tip holds roughly 0.25g, which is about three times the capacity of a standard DynaVap chamber. The oversized captive cap requires a longer heat-up time and works best with a multi-flame torch or an induction heater capable of higher wattage. This is not a beginner device. It’s built for experienced users who want bigger, denser sessions from a manual vaporizer.

The HyperDyn also accepts the Baller Cap (sold separately), which converts it into a ball vape by adding stainless steel balls inside the cap for increased thermal mass and convection heating. That’s a different style of extraction entirely and requires its own learning curve.

Heating Options: Torch vs. Induction Heater

Every DynaVap works with a standard butane torch. Single-flame torches give you the most control over where heat hits the cap, which affects extraction temperature. Heating near the base of the cap produces lower temperatures and more flavor. Heating near the tip produces higher temperatures and thicker vapor. This technique-driven approach is a core part of the DynaVap experience.

Induction heaters remove the torch entirely. You insert the capped device into the heater, press a button, and wait for the click. Sessions become more consistent but you lose the ability to target specific heat zones on the cap.

We carry the YLL 3.0 Induction Heater, which uses dual 21700 batteries and adjustable wattage between 30W and 100W. Lower wattage settings produce slower heat-ups with more flavor; higher settings click faster with denser vapor. The depth-adjustable heating chamber accommodates standard DynaVap models and larger devices like the HyperDyn. A 60-second auto-shutoff prevents accidental overheating. We also carry the Ispire Wand as a standalone option and bundled with the M 7 XL while stock lasts.

DynaVap’s Modular System

DynaVap devices are modular. Tips, stems, caps, and condensers are separate components, and most are interchangeable across models. If you own an M 7 and want better flavor, you can swap in a titanium tip from the VonG line. The Armoured Cap adds a steel sleeve over any standard captive cap, retaining heat longer and reducing the need for constant spinning during heating.

The CCD screens are a maintenance item worth keeping in stock. They should be replaced when they no longer sit flat or when cleaning no longer restores airflow.

Every DynaVap with a 10mm tapered mouthpiece connects directly to 10mm female water pieces. The VonG series has native 10mm and 14mm compatibility depending on the model.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the DynaVap click system work?

Each cap contains a bimetallic disc that produces an audible click when the tip reaches extraction temperature (roughly 170°C to 220°C depending on heat placement). A second click sounds during cool-down, signaling when it’s safe to reheat. The click is a temperature indicator, not a timer. Heating past the click increases extraction intensity but raises the risk of combustion.

Are all DynaVap caps interchangeable?

Standard captive caps fit all standard-sized DynaVap tips (M series, B series, VonG, WoodWynd). The Armoured Cap fits over any standard captive cap as a sleeve. The HyperDyn uses an oversized cap that is specific to its larger tip and is not compatible with standard models.

Can I use a DynaVap with concentrates?

DynaVap sells the DynaCoil, a titanium insert that sits inside the tip and allows concentrate use. Pipe Puffin does not currently stock the DynaCoil. Without it, DynaVap devices are dry herb only.

What’s the difference between stainless steel and titanium tips?

Titanium heats faster, cools faster, and weighs less. Stainless steel retains heat longer, which can produce slightly thicker vapor on successive draws. Both materials are medical-grade and perform well. The choice is mainly about heat behavior preference.

Does DynaVap offer a warranty?

DynaVap provides a 90-day money-back guarantee on their manufactured devices. Warranty claims beyond 90 days are handled case by case. You’ll need the UPC code from the original packaging for any warranty claim, so keep the box.

Which DynaVap works best with water pieces?

The VonG X has a 10mm male joint built into the mouthpiece, making it the most direct water piece connection in the lineup. Any model with a tapered 10mm mouthpiece (M 7, M 7 XL, B2, WoodWynd) also connects directly to 10mm female glass. For 14mm glass, the VonG(i) has native compatibility.
