The Quartz Convection Cap replaces the airflow dynamics of your HyperDyn’s stock cap with a pair of quartz caps sized for different airflow restrictions. The 2mm “Ripper” opens airflow wide for full extraction in a single heat cycle. The 1.25mm “Sipper” restricts it for slower, flavor-focused temp stepping. Both caps seat directly on top of the HyperDyn head, replacing the stock cap entirely, and convert the stock conduction-dominant heating into a convection-forward draw by pulling air through the cap and across the material rather than just around it.

The Two Discs
Each kit comes with two quartz caps sized for the HyperDyn’s oversized cap:

Ripper (2mm holes): Wide-open airflow for maximum convection. This cap is built for one-and-done sessions where you want to clear the bowl in a single heat cycle. The larger holes pull more air through the cap, increasing convection heating and speeding up extraction.

Sipper (1.25mm holes): Restricted airflow for flavor chasing and temp stepping. The smaller holes slow the air down, giving you a gentler draw with more flavor separation between heat cycles. Start low, reheat, and step through the temperature range to get different flavor profiles from the same bowl.
There is no warranty coverage for glassware. If your Quartz Cap arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
The Quartz Convection Cap completely replaces the stock HyperDyn cap. Remove the stock cap and seat the Ripper or Sipper cap directly on top of the HyperDyn head. Best results come from using the HyperDyn in an upright or perpendicular position so the convection airflow works with gravity rather than against it.
