The Switch Go is what happens when Dr Dabber takes the Switch 2’s induction heating and IR sensor and squeezes it into something you can actually take with you. Same app, same temperature precision, 14mm quartz cup, 6 inches tall, 12.8 oz in your hand. The Switch 2 stays on the desk. The Go leaves with you.

  • Induction Heating with IR Sensor

The Switch Go uses the same induction heating method as the Switch 2. The quartz cup is heated electromagnetically from below, with no coil or atomizer making direct contact with the concentrate. The IR sensor reads the cup temperature in real time and adjusts power output to maintain the selected temperature throughout the draw. This is the same technology that made the Switch 2’s temperature control precise enough to support dynamic heating modes and custom curves.

The practical result: no atomizers to replace, no coils to burn out, and consistent temperature from the first draw to the last in a session. The electronics stay sealed away from the vapor path, which also means the Go is leakproof by design.

    14mm Quartz Cup

The Go uses a 14mm quartz cup, which is smaller than the Switch 2’s 20mm cup. The smaller diameter means smaller loads and slightly less vapor density per draw compared to the Switch 2, but it also means faster heat-up times and less battery drain per cycle. For a portable device, the trade-off makes sense: you’re not loading the Go for extended home sessions. You’re loading it for one or two cycles on the move.

The quartz insert is included in the kit and is specific to the Switch Go. Switch 2 quartz inserts, SiC inserts, and aftermarket cups do not fit the Go. This is not a shared accessory ecosystem.

    Bluetooth App Control

The Go connects to the Dr Dabber app for temperature control, session timing, vapor profile selection, and LED customization. If you already use the app with a Switch 2, the interface is familiar. The Go supports the same profile system, giving you access to preset and custom temperature curves from your phone.

    Compact Water Filtration

The included glass attachment provides water filtration in a form factor scaled to the Switch Go’s 6-inch body. It’s a smaller bubbler than the Switch 2’s glass, with less water capacity and a shorter vapor path. The glass is specific to the Switch Go and is not interchangeable with Switch 2 glass attachments.

  • Does the Switch Go have an IR sensor like the Switch 2?

Yes. The Go uses the same IR sensor technology for real-time temperature monitoring and adjustment during a draw.

Can I use my Switch 2 quartz inserts or glass on the Switch Go?

No. The Switch Go uses a 14mm quartz cup and Go-specific glass. Switch 2 accessories (20mm inserts, glass attachments, aftermarket caps, and inserts) are not compatible.

Does the Switch Go support the Dr Dabber app?

Yes. The Go connects over Bluetooth and supports temperature profiles, session customization, and LED settings through the same Dr Dabber app used by the Switch 2.

Can I use the Switch Go while it's charging?

Yes. The Go supports USB-C pass-through charging.

How many sessions can I get from the Switch Go on a single charge?

Up to 20 heating cycles per charge, with a 45 to 60 minute full charge time.

  • Dr Dabber provides a 1-year warranty covering the battery, charger, and electrical components. Please note that Switch 2 and Switch Go do not carry the same warranty length.

  • Temperature Range: 250°F to 650°F

The Go’s ceiling is 650°F, which is 150°F lower than the Switch 2’s 800°F maximum. In practice, this covers the range most concentrate users actually operate in. Low-temperature flavor dabs typically fall between 350°F and 450°F. Medium sessions run 450°F to 550°F. The 650°F ceiling gives headroom above that without pushing the smaller battery harder than it needs to go. If you regularly dab above 650°F on your Switch 2, the Go will not reach those temperatures. For the majority of users, the range is more than sufficient.

    Battery and Session Count

The Go holds up to 20 heating cycles on a full charge, with a 45 to 60 minute charge time via USB-C. Pass-through charging is supported, so you can run a session while plugged in. By comparison, the Switch 2 delivers 30 to 60 cycles per charge with a 60 to 90 minute charge time. The Go’s smaller battery is the trade-off for portability; it weighs 12.8 oz total, which is light enough to hold in one hand during a session.

Twenty cycles is enough for a full day of moderate use or a weekend trip. If you need all-day heavy use, the Switch 2 is still the better tool for that.

    Compared to the Switch 2

The Switch Go is not a replacement for the Switch 2. It is a portable companion. The Switch 2 has a larger cup (20mm vs 14mm), a wider temperature range (300-800°F vs 250-650°F), longer battery life (30-60 cycles vs 20), a larger glass attachment with more water capacity, and a 2-year warranty. It is a desktop-grade e-rig that performs best when it stays in one spot.

The Go trades all of that for portability. Smaller cup, lighter body, shorter glass, faster charge time. If you own a Switch 2 and want the same heating technology in something you can pack in a bag, the Go fills that gap. If you don’t own a Switch 2 and want a single device, the Go works as a standalone portable e-rig, but the Switch 2 is the stronger option for home use.

    Compared to Other Portable E-Rigs

The Go enters a portable concentrate space that includes the Puffco New Peak and the Focus Carta Sport. The Go is marginally larger and more expensive than both, but it brings induction heating and IR sensor temperature control, which neither competitor offers at this size. The Peak uses a 3D chamber with preset temperature profiles and no app-driven custom curves. The Sport uses the Intelli-Core atomizer with app control and a swappable battery.

The Go’s closest functional comparison is the Switch 2 itself, shrunk down. It’s a different class of device from the Peak or Carta in terms of heating technology, and the price reflects that.

    Important Compatibility Note

Switch 2 accessories are not compatible with the Switch Go. The quartz inserts, glass attachments, loading tools, and aftermarket accessories (including third-party carb caps and inserts) are sized for the Switch 2’s larger 20mm cup and wider body. They will not fit the Go. All accessories in the Go’s kit are specific to the Go.

If you own a Switch 2 and plan to buy the Go, treat them as separate accessory ecosystems.

    Cleaning and Maintenance

Swab the quartz insert with a cotton swab after each session while the cup is still warm. For deeper cleaning, remove the insert and soak it in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol for 20 to 30 minutes. The glass attachment can be rinsed with warm water after each use and soaked in isopropyl alcohol when residue builds up. Wipe the IR sensor window with a dry cotton swab periodically to keep temperature readings accurate.

Because the Go uses induction heating with no exposed coil or atomizer, there are no consumable heating elements to replace. The quartz insert is the only part that contacts concentrate, and it’s removable and replaceable.

Who the Switch Go is For

The Go is for concentrate users who want induction heating and IR sensor accuracy in a portable format. If you already own a Switch 2 and want a travel companion that runs on the same platform, the Go is built for that. If you don’t own a Switch 2 and want a premium portable e-rig that prioritizes temperature precision over raw session size, the Go delivers that at a lower price point than the Switch 2.

It is not for dry herb users. It is not a replacement for the Switch 2’s home session performance. And if you need more than 20 cycles between charges, the Switch 2’s larger battery is the better fit.
