Dr Dabber Switch Go

The Switch Go uses dual parallel mesh heating. Mesh elements heat a titanium crucible from the sides and bottom, and that heat transfers into the quartz insert without any coil or atomizer making direct contact with your material. The internal RTD (resistance temperature detector) sensor reads cup temperature on contact and adjusts power output to maintain the selected temperature throughout the draw.

This is a different heating method from the Switch 2’s induction system, but the end result is similar: no atomizers to replace, no coils to burn out, and consistent temperature from the first draw to the last. The vapor travels through a glazed alumina ceramic pathway that won’t absorb flavor or degrade over time. The electronics stay sealed away from the vapor path, which also makes the Go leakproof by design.

The Go ships with a pure 14mm single-crystal quartz insert. The smaller diameter compared to the Switch 2’s 20mm means faster heat-up times and less battery drain per cycle. Dr Dabber recommends about a rice-sized load for standard sessions, but the Go can handle up to half a gram.

The quartz insert is specific to the Switch Go. Switch 2 inserts do not fit. Dr Dabber also sells a Sapphire Plus Insert (premium flavor) and a Titanium Insert (compatible with flower, hash, kief, and other dry materials) separately for the Go.

The Switch Go handles concentrates with the included quartz insert. It also works with flower and dry materials when paired with the Titanium Insert (sold separately). Dr Dabber’s knowledge base confirms compatibility with full melt concentrates, flower, hash, ice wax, moon rocks, and kief. The Titanium Insert is recommended for anything with plant matter.

The Go ships with five default Vapor Profiles accessible via the (+) and (-) buttons on the device:

All five profiles are fully customizable through the app. You can change the temperature, hold time, and Dynamic Heating Mode for each profile and save them to the device.

Six Dynamic Heating Modes are available:

• Descent (default): Temperature slowly decreases after reaching the set point, simulating banger thermal decay.
• Ascent: Temperature slowly increases during the draw, simulating a torch hit that builds heat.
• Steady: Holds the set temperature flat throughout the cycle. How most e-rigs work.
• Hill: Increases for vapor production, then descends for a flavorful finish.
• Valley: Decreases for terpene preservation, then rises to finish with stronger vapor.
• Custom: Build your own heating curve. Max heating is 10 degrees per second, and max cooling is 3 degrees per second.

The Go remembers your last temperature setting and heating mode after you close the app or power off the device.

The Go connects to the Dr Dabber app for full control over temperature (1-degree increments between 250F and 650F), Dynamic Heating Modes, hold times (10 to 90 seconds, default 30), auto shutoff (1 to 60 minutes), LED themes, stealth mode, and haptic feedback. The app also tracks exact battery percentage, a dab counter, and full session analytics.

The Go uses LiFePO4 battery cells (same chemistry as the Switch 2) and delivers up to 25 heating cycles on a full charge. Charge time is roughly 1 hour via USB-C with pass-through charging supported. Three LED lights on the lower portion of the unit indicate battery level, and exact percentage is visible in the app. Higher heat settings, longer hold times, and brighter LEDs drain the battery faster.

The included glass attachment provides water filtration scaled to the Go’s body. Fill to just above the perc holes through the mouthpiece. The glass is specific to the Switch Go and is not interchangeable with Switch 2 glass.
