The RBR uses internal channels rather than a traditional percolator or external recycler tubes. Vapor enters the base, travels through multi-layered pathways inside the glass body, and cycles continuously during the draw. The maze-like structure forces vapor to make extended contact with water at multiple points before reaching the mouthpiece. This extended contact time is what produces the cooling effect that reviewers consistently describe as the RBR’s defining characteristic.

The bell-shaped recycler return keeps water cycling back to the base without splashing into the mouthpiece. The draw is noticeably more restricted than open-airflow pieces like the Straight Fab or SwitchFlow. For low-temperature sessions where flavor preservation matters, that restriction works in your favor by slowing the draw and increasing vapor density.
