THERMODYNAMICS - The Golden Ratio
The Limelight Frolic combines convection and conduction heating at an 80/20 ratio. The 120W stainless steel heater reaches temperature in 5 seconds for demand mode or maintains steady heat for session mode. Adjustable airflow ranges from restricted draws to wide open 25L/min flow. The heater handles any airflow setting without temperature drops. Both session and demand mode use the same temperature settings from 40-220°C (session) or 40-240°C (demand).
INSULATED PEEK AIRPATHS - Airflow Purity
The complete vapor path uses CNC-machined PEEK plastic throughout. PEEK handles heat up to 240°C without taste contamination or chemical breakdown. The material matches glass for inertness but won’t crack from drops. The vapor path stays fully separated from electronics and body heat. PEEK costs more than standard plastics but maintains performance through thousands of heating cycles.
AIRFLOW CONTROL - Tailored Experience
Rotate the base of the mouthpiece to adjust airflow from fully closed to wide open 25L/min. The adjustable airflow works for both tight draws and unrestricted pulls. Airflow stays smooth and quiet at all settings. The heater power handles any airflow level without temperature drops. You can adjust airflow mid-session without affecting vapor production.
MODULAR CONSTRUCTION - Lots to Show; Little to Hide
The removable 21700 battery swaps out when capacity drops rather than requiring device replacement. Removing the cooling unit takes seconds with no tools needed. All major components can be serviced individually. O-rings, screens, and batteries are standard parts available anywhere. Limelight has made modular products since 2013, so replacement parts will remain available long-term.
SESSION or DEMAND MODE - Pick Your Style.
Session mode keeps the heater active for 1-7 minutes so you can take draws without holding buttons. Demand mode only heats while you press the button, then shuts off immediately. Fast heat means demand mode reaches temperature in 5 seconds from a cold start. Session mode works better for sharing or relaxed use. Demand mode saves battery life and material since it only heats when needed. Both modes use the same temperature range.
NOTIFICATIONS - The Screen
The 0.96-inch color OLED shows temperature settings, session timer, battery life, and current mode. Screen brightness adjusts automatically or can be set manually. In session mode, it shows time remaining. In Demand mode, it shows the draw time. The battery level is displayed as a percentage, and the screen stays on during use, dimming after 30 seconds of inactivity.
NOTIFICATIONS - The Vibration
Vibration alerts confirm when temperature settings are reached, sessions end, or battery runs low. You can turn vibration on or off in the menu. Different vibration patterns indicate different alerts. The motor works in low-light situations when you can’t see the screen. Vibration strength is adjustable.
NOTIFICATIONS - The LED
The LED above the power button glows orange while heating and green when ready. Different LED patterns show battery status, charging, and errors. LED brightness can be adjusted or turned off completely. The LED works with screen and vibration alerts to keep you informed.
COOLING UNIT - The Long Path
The cooling unit has over 200mm of pathway length to cool vapor before it reaches your mouth. The design handles the 120W stainless steel heater output without restricting airflow. Optional 14mm and 18mm water pipe adapters connect directly to glass pieces. The cooling works at all temperature settings and airflow levels.
COOLING UNIT - Effortless Maintenance
The cooling unit splits into three pieces for cleaning. Removing the cooling unit requires no tools. PEEK and stainless steel parts are cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. Standard Viton O-rings are easy to replace when worn. All parts except O-rings can go in the dishwasher.
LAYOUT - Smooth Interaction
The removable 21700 battery sits in the base for proper weight balance. The textured body improves grip and heat dissipation. The debowler tool clears the chamber between sessions. The aluminum oven has a hard-anodized coating that resists sticking. USB-C charging works with the battery installed, or you can charge batteries externally.

COOLING UNIT – A powerful heater demands a high-performance cooling unit. The total length of the pathways in the cooling unit exceeds 200mm, which guarantees sufficient cooling regardless of the airflow level. Additionally, optional 18mm and 14mm water attachments allow a direct connection of the Frolic to a water piece.TEXTURED BODY AND TUBE – The body and the heater tube of the Frolic have been textured for a superior look and feel and enhanced heat dissipation.BATTERY POSITION – Proper weight distribution is achieved by positioning the battery, as the heaviest component, so it falls into your palm when holding the Frolic. We have also made sure that the Frolic has a low center of gravity so it’s stable when placed on a flat surface and operated or attached directly to a water cooler.AIRFLOW CONTROL – Airflow is adjusted by rotating the knob on the top of the cooling unit.MOUTHPIECE – The mouthpiece is conveniently placed at the back of the Frolic. The Molicel P50B provides 15-18 sessions per charge. When battery life drops over time, replace the cell instead of servicing the device. This removable battery approach avoids planned obsolescence.
How do I remove the cooling unit from the Frolic?
Twist counterclockwise and lift. No tools needed. This gives access for cleaning without affecting calibration.
What's special about the adjustable airflow on the Frolic?
The wide open setting allows unrestricted draws up to 25L/min. Restricted settings work for tighter draws. By having adjustable airflow available, you can dictate how dense the vapor being made becomes and how long it takes for that vapor to reach your lungs.
How fast does the Frolic's fast heat work?
