A magnetic coil heats the 20mm quartz insert from within, with no direct contact between the heating element and your material. The IR sensor reads temperature continuously and adjusts power output to hold your exact setting throughout the session. It covers 250°F to 650°F, heats up in 5 to 30 seconds, and delivers up to 30 heating cycles per charge with USB-C pass-through.

Three dynamic heating modes set the Switch 2 apart. Descent mode drops 1°F per second during your draw, replicating how a quartz banger cools and protecting terpenes at the end of a hit. Ascent mode starts low and climbs toward your target, built for cold starts with rosin and full-spectrum extracts. Steady mode locks temperature and adjusts based on draw speed and dab size. The Dr. Dabber app pairs via Bluetooth for full control over temperature profiles, hold times, and lighting.

The Dr. Dabber XS runs Dr. Dabber’s patented TCH technology with four fixed presets: 475°F, 525°F, 575°F, and 625°F, each color-coded by LED. The quartz e-Chamber heats up in 9 to 12 seconds. No app, no dynamic modes, no IR sensor. Just a compact, reliable rig that handles up to 35 heating cycles per charge with USB-C pass-through.

The Ghost 2 brings dynamic heating modes to a portable form factor. It runs radial 360-degree sidewall heating for an even thermal environment with no cold spots. Five temperature settings cover 420°F to 540°F, and Ascent, Descent, and Steady modes are all available at the touch of a button. Heat-up runs 5 to 10 seconds. The vapor pathway channels through a polished ceramic mouthpiece. Up to 20 heating cycles per charge with USB-C pass-through.

These are not variations of the same product. The Switch 2 is built for control. The XS is built for simplicity. The Ghost 2 is built for portability without giving up dynamic modes.

Dr. Dabber Accessories: Device-Specific Parts

Accessories for the Switch 2, XS, and Ghost 2 are not interchangeable. Each device runs a different heating system and chamber design, so parts are specific to each unit.

Switch 2 inserts sit inside the titanium induction chamber and lock in place with an aluminum crown. The standard quartz insert measures 20mm, which is 300% larger than the original Dabber Switch. Quartz is the go-to for flavor. The sapphire insert is a premium upgrade for a chemically inert surface. A titanium insert is also available, compatible with both concentrates and dry material. None of these fit any other device.

XS replacement parts include the e-Chamber, spill-proof glass attachment, and carb cap with seal. The XS glass attachment mounts to the side of the unit and is only compatible with the XS. The XS also has a dedicated fractal sidecar glass available as an upgrade.

Ghost 2 replacement parts include the e-Chamber and mouthpiece, both compatible only with the Ghost 2. A glass mouthpiece upgrade is also available for the Ghost 2.

The Dr. Dabber Drop loading tool is compatible across all three devices. It heats a titanium tip to place concentrate cleanly into the chamber without mess. The Tour Bag is also compatible with all three.

For cleaning, swab Switch 2 quartz inserts with isopropyl alcohol after each session. For the XS, wipe the e-Chamber with a dry cotton swab. Do not soak XS e-Chambers in isopropyl.

The Ghost 2 is a portable vape with radial sidewall heating, the same three dynamic modes as the Switch 2, a 420-540°F range, and up to 20 heating cycles per charge. Are Switch 2 and XS accessories interchangeable?

No. Switch 2 inserts only fit the Switch 2. XS e-Chambers, glass attachments, and carb caps only fit the XS. Ghost 2 e-Chambers and mouthpieces only fit the Ghost 2. The Dr. Dabber Drop loading tool and the Tour Bag are compatible with all three devices.

What temperature should I use on the Switch 2?

Most users start around 500-520°F on descent mode. Rosin and live resin often work better lower, around 460-500°F. Harder waxes typically need more heat. The single-degree temperature setting lets you dial in precisely.

What temperature settings does the Dr Dabber XS have?

Four fixed presets: 475°F (purple), 525°F (blue), 575°F (cyan), and 625°F (green). Dr. Dabber recommends 575°F or below for smaller loads. The 625°F setting is for larger amounts of material.

Does the Ghost 2 have dynamic heating modes?

Yes. Ascent, Descent, and Steady modes are all available, the same as the Switch 2. The Ghost 2 runs five temperature settings between 420°F and 540°F.
